I love adding a few touches of not-so-spooky Halloween decor throughout our house. Last year was the first time I put up any Halloween decorations inside our home. I had just gotten my Cricut and was so excited to make paper bats and put them on our white board & batten wall in our front room. I love how it turned out. This year I added cut-out butterflies and spiders throughout the house as well. I’m slowly adding decor pieces to my not-so-spooky Halloween collection.

Entryway Halloween Decor

Here’s what I did for our entryway. My favorite part is our skeleton who we affectionately refer to as Skully McRibs. I cut out paper bats on my Cricut with black cardstock. I made 3 different sizes (11″, 8″ & 6″). I attached them to the wall with this wall-safe tape. I used this tape for the first time last year and it worked really well and kept the bats up all season long with no damage to the wall. I added some googly eyes to a couple of pumpkins and I love the spooky cute vibe that brings. I also added these flickering flameless candles to the white jack-o-lantern and skull candle holder and I love how that looks at night. I added our pumpkins that we will carve right before Halloween. Since we’re in AZ I keep them inside because it’s still so hot outside.

Table Centerpiece

A really simple way I transform my fall table centerpiece for Halloween is by adding a few cut-out black butterflies. I love that something so simple has such an impact.

Not-so-Spooky Coffee Bar

My favorite spot to decorate for Halloween is our coffee bar shelves. On the top shelf, I added a cute ghost canister I found at Marshalls. The wooden pumpkin is from the Target Dollar Spot. The floral arrangement was from Target a few years ago. The metal rose gold jack-o-lantern and pumpkin canister are both from Home Goods. On the bottom shelf, I added our hot cocoa canister that I found at Hobby Lobby. I added some pumpkin spice marshmallows into a little glass jar that was from the Target Dollar Spot last year. The black and white striped jack-o-lantern is also from the Target Dollar Spot last year. The black metal jack-o-lantern is from World Market.

Paper Cut-Outs Everywhere…

I went a little crazy with the paper cut-outs this year. I think they are such a fun and inexpensive way to decorate for Halloween. I added more black butterflies to my fall wreath to add a little touch of Halloween. I also found a cute “Hey Boo” template and printed off a stencil on my Cricut. I simply traced the stencil with chalk to create a festive look on our chalkboard.

Paper Cut-Outs in Lamps

I wasn’t kidding when I said I put the paper cut-outs all over my house. I even added them to the inside of my lamps this year. I used the same wall-safe tape I mentioned above and taped the cutouts on the inside of the lampshades. To change it up a bit I did one with spiders and one with butterflies. I printed these off with my Cricut on black cardstock. I did 2 sizes of spiders since that lampshade is pretty big. This was so simple and I think it looks really cool when the lamps are on.

Halloween Playroom Decor

I love to decorate this corner in the kid’s playroom. We added these bookshelves my husband made and I display our favorite Halloween books on them. This makes it really easy for the kids to pick out a book to read before bed and also serves as cute wall decor. Of course, I had to add more paper bats here too. And I can’t get enough of the googly-eye pumpkins. They are too cute! Here is my post on our Favorite Halloween Books for Kids if you want to see a full list of our favorites.

Simple Outdoor Halloween Decor

On the outside of our house, we keep it pretty simple. We’ve added large spiders and 2 red spotlights that shine on the house and make the whole house look red and spooky. We also use our Christmas snow projector and flip it upside down so the “snow” is going up instead of falling down. It gives off a Stranger Things vibe. To attach the spiders to our house we used these zip tie adhesive mounts. I’ll be honest, they do sometimes pull off a bit of paint when we take them off the house, however, they do stay up all month long. My husband set up a hayride with his ATV and trailer to take us around the neighborhood and look at all of the Halloween decorations. We added orange lights and cute jack-o-lantern blankets.

I hope this post has given you some Halloween Ideas for not-so-spooky home decor. Let me know in the comments below if you have any fun ideas.
